2025 Hyundai Kona–For the 2025 model year, Hyundai will make significant revisions to the Kona. The subcompact SUV will be completely overhauled, though information on the alterations Hyundai will make are still limited. For the time being, we have some early official photographs of the new SUV’s appearance when it goes on sale.
2025 Hyundai Kona Exterior
The South Korean carmaker has introduced a more sleeker SUV than the previous Kona generation in terms of 2025 Hyundai Kona images. The most notable exterior element is a long, thin horizontal front light bar reminiscent of a Lucid Air. Hyundai claims that the new Kona was created first as an EV, then as a petrol model. The 2025 Kona is nearly 6 inches longer than the previous model, as well as 1 inch wider and with a slightly longer wheelbase. Hyundai has previously stated that the 2025 Kona will be available as a gas SUV or an electric vehicle.
2025 Hyundai Kona Interior
Although the interior of the 2025 Kona has not yet been fully revealed, an early photograph shows a very straightforward layout with two 12.3-inch touchscreens. Unlike some competitors, the revised Kona keeps a lot of knobs and push-button controls. A thick-looking steering wheel appears to give the SUV a more premium appearance that suits its cutting design.
2025 Hyundai Kona Engine
We’re not sure what adjustments Hyundai has planned for the 2025 Kona’s powertrains. We’re hoping for an update because the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 147 horsepower, is underpowered. The turbo 1.6-liter and turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines are significantly more powerful. Kona Electric is also set to have an upgrade in 2025. The current variant includes a 64-kWh battery pack and a 201-hp electric motor. The SUV has a current range of 258 miles, but that amount might increase in 2025.
2025 Hyundai Kona Price & Release date
In early 2025, Hyundai will unveil further details regarding the 2025 Kona. A release date has yet to be confirmed. Pricing for the 2025 Hyundai Kona is not yet available. For perspective, the current Kona pricing for the gas model starts at $23,285 including destination and $34,845 for the EV. While price increases year over year are usual, the EV might be much more expensive in the coming year.
