2025 Kia Rio–While the subcompact market is starting to sputter, Kia is still selling the 2025 Rio. For the new model year, there are no significant modifications to the small sedan or hatchback. Despite not being the newest subcompact in its class, the Rio’s continued existence is significant.
2025 Kia Rio Model & Advantage
Kia provides two trim levels for the Rio sedan: S and L. Although the cost-effective LX lacks many convenience features, it is equipped with the essentials. Steel 15-inch wheels, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, cloth interior, manually adjustable front seats, power windows, heated outside mirrors, and power door locks are all included as standard equipment. With cruise control, keyless entry, and split-folding rear seats, the S model upgrades the vehicle. A 4.2-inch display in the instrument cluster, automatic climate control, push-button start, keyless entry, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, and chrome door handles are all included in the $1,800 Technology Package.
2025 Kia Rio Interior
The Rio boasts a surprisingly spacious cabin for its subcompact size, with seating for up to five passengers. The hatchback is more adaptable with a cargo compartment that has up to 17.4 cubic feet of room while the sedan’s trunk has a maximum capacity of 13.7 cubic feet. The hatchback has up to 32.8 cubic feet of cargo space when the back seats are folded. An eight-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, six audio speakers, and a USB port are all included on every Rio. A Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, and extra USB ports are added in the S trim.
2025 Kia Rio Engine
A 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque is standard on the Rio. Throughout the lineup, a six-speed automatic transmission is standard. The Rio’s lack of power is offset by its high fuel efficiency ratings. Up to 32 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 36 mpg overall are the Rio’s fuel economy ratings.
2025 Kia Rio Price
The starting price of the LX is $17,645 (destination included), while the S costs $18,285. Only the S trim of the Rio hatchback is offered, and it costs $18,585.
